It’s a rare thing to know you’re going to like someone immediately. Katie Adam is one of those people. Her appeal can’t be put down to one thing, an enviable combination of natural intellect, spark, and a wicked wit that’s hard to resist.
Capturing Katie’s career highlights in less than three pages is near on impossible; she’s triumphed in a multitude of upper-level customer service, organisational and event management roles, including personal assistant to the Lord Mayor of Melbourne city and project manager for a municipal health and safety initiative for the Melbourne CBD.
In 2014, Katie joined the Ray White Sue Douglas Group (RWSDG) as Sue's executive assistant, providing the scene for new professional heights. Her talents rapidly saw her assume the role of Sue’s trusted 2-i.c., thoroughly learning the business from the ground up, and her impact on their marketing and business growth is widely recognised. In fact, she was recognised at the Ray White national recognition awards celebrating 25 years in business as PA of the Year 2018.
Over time, Katie discovered a passion for property management, clearly identifying it as a sector where she could help all people through property. Putting words into action, Katie offers free advice and education to the broader community; providing targeted landlord events and first-home buyer seminars for tenants.
Recently asked to head the Sue Douglas Property Management team, Katie’s priority is to add value over and above the traditional functions of property management. She provides a transparent, friendly and communicative service, with the goal of maximising her client’s investment by making discerning landlord-tenant matches, and carefully tending the RWSDG relationships with their tenants and owners.
Now acknowledged as an expert in the field, Katie was also approached by Ray White New Zealand to take on one of ten positions nationwide as a Ray White Property Management Leader. This critical position allows Katie and her dedicated property management team to guide and safeguard their landlords through the often complex regulations and expectations required of them. They consistently offer opportunities to grow their landlord's investment portfolio and ensure the best mortgage rates possible.
Katie believes in education, beautifying and encouraging participation within our local community. She loves planning public engagement, both privately and through RWSDG community initiatives, like the Kidz First Jammies In June fundraiser; which raises awareness and encourages healthy homes for families of South Auckland. Katie personally spearheads local council initiatives including the local Hingaia community garden and the Papakura Community Hub - a collective of businesses and workshops who collaborate to create a better place to live.
