Ray White Takanini and Karaka are supporting Middlemore’s Jammies for June initiative for the eight consecutive year! “
Giving back to our community, especially the vulnerable South Auckland kids by providing a new pair of winter pyjamas remains the highlight of the year for us as a team” said Mr Peter Belcher, director of Ray White Takanini and Karaka.
Each year they put on a (super!) Fun Run and Walk which sees the community come together with local families, schools, businesses, the NZ police, St Johns medical response and even a few furry friends to support the event. As always, it was an awesome day with participants dressed in jammies for a leisurely walk or run around the scenic 2km or 5km loop starting and finishing at the Karaka Harbourside Playground. The Ray White team add to the fun with spot prizes, face painting, balloon twisting, a bouncy castle, a coffee cart and a sausage sizzle. With every gold coin donation or kids winter PJ’s accepted as entry fee, the aim is to be one step closer to making a difference. All proceeds go to Middlemore’s Jammies in June campaign.
“Too many children are being admitted to Kidz First Hospital with respiratory illnesses because they live in cold damp houses. Our aim is to bring awareness to the community because together, we can make a difference. Let’s keep our local kids warm and comfortable this winter.” Mr Peter Belcher said.
