Chief Operating Officer

It’s a rare thing to know you’re going to like someone immediately. Katie is one of those people. Her appeal can’t be put down to one thing, an enviable combination of natural intellect, spark, and a wicked wit that’s hard to resist.

Katie is a key member of the leadership team and brings a depth of skills to the business. The needs of our customers, our people, and our community sit at the heart of Katie.

Joining Ray White in 2014, Katie draws on her considerable and varied experience in the industry across its many facets, from operations to performance management, property management, and sales gaining national awards and recognition within the industry.

Now COO for Ray White Takanini and Karaka, Katie maintains a positive and invigorated culture and she’s there to support each and every agent, whatever capacity they may be at. With a strong belief in fostering community, she has developed an intuitive approach to supporting others, offering a vital ear and informed advice where and when it’s needed.

Initiatives launched by Katie include extensive marketing campaigns and events, monopolizing the fantastic systems and technology available, and building peer-to-peer training sessions with both junior and senior salespeople taking part, with the aim of building a culture of togetherness and offering support freely. This ensures our family of salespeople are able to provide real estate services in an environment that supports them at every touch point, working in a collaborative environment to build a business that is worthy of our recognized title as Chairman's Elite Business Leader 2022-23.

After leaving New Zealand to work in a plethora of upper-level customer service, organizational, event management, and project management roles in Australia, she returned to South Auckland to began her journey at Ray White in 2014. Since then, she has risen through the ranks to take on – and master - a number of key positions, with her outstanding talents gaining national recognition. Her hard work and dedication lead to a role heading a Property Management team, and she was an active member of the reputable and respected Ray White NZ Property Management Leaders Group for three years before assuming her current position. Katie is now in the next Leaders Program. The capability to be a ‘next leader’ is reserved for a select few. It is a journey created through a pathway that provides progress in an environment of ambition..

Outside of the office, Katie has long maintained close contact with the surrounding community. She is the key driver behind the office’s support of the Middlemore Foundation’s Jammies In June fundraiser; which raises awareness and encourages healthy homes for families in South Auckland. Helping raise the living standards of those living in poverty is important to the passionate professional, for whom community is everything.

A key member of our leadership team, Katie Rawson-Massey is a force to be reckoned with – and one that Ray White Takanini and Karaka would be lost without.
