Online Auction – When we represent your property we don’t leave anything to chance

By Katie Scott

We know that auctions get maximum exposure for a property in a short period of time through a structured, intensive marketing campaign, but what happens if the country is in an alert level of lockdown because of a pandemic? Do auctions still work then? The answer is yes!

Since the first lockdownApollo Auctions NZ has run a total of 1659 auctions (with more to come) remotely from Tim’s living room and in-house auction rooms.

Over 200 bids from 25+ bidders and a clearance rate of 75% for properties taken to auction on our online platforms. Our technology and systems allowed us to continue to bring our clients fantastic unconditional sold results in the midst of Lockdown level 4 in April 2020. It has allowed us to be prepared for whatever comes our way and provide certainty for our owners in uncertain times.

Online live auctions have existed for some time in our industry and our buyers are embracing the virtual world to secure their dream home. In the current climate there is no need to wait around to sell your home until Covid-19 has gone away. We have eager buyers ready to go, we do not need to wait!

With auctions playing such an important role, we are able to provide you with a live stream of your auction to assist you in getting the best possible result for your property. Your property and live bid capturing will be displayed directly on our website, making it simple and easy to provide buyers with a live stream of your auction

Online real estate auctions work the same way as in-person auctions but are conducted virtually. This means no crowds. It is simply the auctioneer and the agent in a room (generally the office or the property), equipped with a camera and a couple of computers to live-stream the auction.

It takes some ‘out of the box’ innovative thinking, a touch of kiwi ingenuity, and some quick action to get it set up, but wow does it work!

The bidding process is exactly the same, and only the human face-to-face element is removed. As a bidder you must register – to find out more head to our AUCTION LIVE page and contact the selling agent today!
